The early church understood the requirement of a proper eschatology. The had a revelation of the end and an urgency that propelled them to sacrifice, holiness, and evangelism. If we do not understand the end correctly, it impairs our revelation of Jesus. The revelation of Jesus and the revelation of the end are joined together and if either one is missing the church suffers greatly.

In the Scripture we find that rivers are significant places for the people of God. Likewise, God gives us rivers in our life that represent transition places. There is a prophetic word for us that we must hear as we surrender to the work of His pure river.

God is calling his church into a new season of conquest like Joshua. The period of the wilderness is over and a new season will require a faith in Him and the ability to face multiple challenges and conquer them all. God is also calling forth Joshuas that have been in a place of serving and hiddeness to come forward. We must have courage to conquer and obey.

The church in America is entering a desert place that God might set the power of the Spirit upon the church. Jesus' testings in the desert in Luke 4 illustrate the deep work that God longs to do in the American church that she might display Him.

Now matter how far we go in God, we must always stay near the cross. There are deeper levels of the cross that we must experience. While we may be familiar with the cross, God wants to take us to another level of the revelation and working of the cross in our lives.

We are exhorted in the Scriptures to be watching and waiting for His return. When we are vigilant to prepare our hearts for His return, we lay aside things that otherwise hinder us and lay aside those things that would otherwise be a snare to us.

We are called to be both hearers and doers. Many hear the Word and even know they need to change but continue year after year not to put things into practice. We cannot "do" without Him, but we must come to Him and lean upon His power and His strength and "do" the things that we have heard.

As we progress in the spirit, God yearns to have us grow in godliness. As we grow into godliness our lives will demonstrate the fruit of brotherly kindness and brotherly love. Godliness finds its practical fulfillment in the area of kindness and love one for another.

God desires us to be ruled by His Spirit rather than our own soul. We must be willing to be led by the Spirit and allow His Spirit to transform our soul so that our soul is a willing and able servant to the Spirit.

God is calling us to take a stand for His pure, supernatural move. There are two critical keys if we want to move with him. First, we must have a greater awareness of our own spirit and how we interact with the Holy Spirit. Secondly we must learn to guard our hearts.
