There is always a hunger battle in the Christian life if you really want more of God. It is a test and it's critical to pass.

Job's friends thought that they knew God and could explain Him. When God finally spoke for Himself He shattered their paradigms with little explanation.

As I talked to a couple of Jehovah's witnesses this week I began to share with them some things the Lord had showed me recently where they failed to understand the scriptures.

We are accustomed to thinking of "sowing and reaping" in terms of finances.

We often come to the place of prayer and communion with an expectation of what God should do and how He should do it.

God is calling us to the place where we can trust him completely. So often we want to rule our own lives and find that we do not really trust God completely in all areas.

God is looking for those that are hungry and desperate. We must be those who will accept the work of His Spirit. He is coming to us like a hammer and fire. His hammer will break everything in us that is not of Him and the fire can then rest on us just like Jesus promised.

God often matures us in unexpected ways. He calls us to difficult places and situations that He might develop something within us that is eternal. Some times those are even places of apparent lack or suffering, but they work to mature us.
