Prayer is the lifeline of a believer and of the church. Yet how often we fail to pray. Perhaps we just don't understand the importance of prayer or lack understanding in how to prayer.

Jesus tells us that in the last days to not hesitate or look back. We are to go foward because we know His coming is near.

How often does our heart pray, "Thy will be done" and yet we miss what God is doing because it came in a way that we did not expect.

In Phillipians 3 Paul exposes his own internal pursuit for the high calling. He is willing to law aside every religious accomplishment purely for the knowledge of Christ.

As Father's and parents, we have been given extraordinary responsibility for those we must raise and train up. We must look to God for the strength and power to lead the next generation. As we rise up and commit ourselves to the Lord, He will give us strength to lead our families in the way they should go.

The enduring saints are described in Revelation 17 as the "called, chosen, and faithful." What does it mean to be called? The Scriptures are full of examples of callings. Throughout the Scriptures God is calling a people to Himself.

We are called to be both hearers and doers. Many hear the Word and even know they need to change but continue year after year not to put things into practice. We cannot "do" without Him, but we must come to Him and lean upon His power and His strength and "do" the things that we have heard.
